Salah Offered Record-Breaking Club Contract

Mohamed Salah has hit a big pay day, as recent reports claim that he is expecting a new contract from Liverpool F.C. that will break the club’s records.

Much like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Alisson Becker, the 29-year-old forward is expected to have his contract with the club renewed, which expires in 2023.

Liverpool has apparently shown a keen interest in “rewarding” Salah with a contract of £200 000 per week, one that will break their record for “highest-paid player in history” at Anfield. The record was previously held by Brazilian player, Robert Firmino, at £180 000 per week.

Salah has had a great season despite his team’s lacklustre performance; he has bagged 31 goals off 51 appearances in the recent campaign, while awarded second place for the 2021 English Premier League Golden Boot after Harry Kane claimed the coveted award.

The Egyptian international has been with the Reds since June 2017, and was the first to hint at a contractual extension in May.

During his time with Liverpool, he has found the back of the net 125 times from 203 games, placing him 12th in the ranks of highest goal-scorers.
